President Trump Says Farewell

In a 20-minute speech, President Trump bid America farewell as President. It has never been a secret that I am not a fan of President Trump’s “public personality,” though I suspect he is a fine person apart from that. Regardless, it saddens my heart that an anointed leader such as Donald Trump leaves office in such disgrace, but I am heartened by his zeal to continue building a movement of “We the people.”

I don’t believe our politicians in Washington or in state governments understand the depth and the gravity of a government of the people, for the people and by the people. Instead, America has shifted off-axis due to the always-dangerous pursuit of power and money, exhibited by the vast majority of politicians. Donald Trump was never a politician. He refused to be indebted to special interests. He didn’t play by Washington’s rules…and he was run out of town for it.

I truly hope he is successful in leading America back toward the ideals our forefathers held so dear and built our great Constitutional Republic upon. However, from a Biblical perspective, I can’t help but wonder if this is the end for America, and if this is the catalyst that rips America from the seat of world power, leaving Israel to stand alone in the end. After all, prophecy assures us that no one will be by Israel’s side when the dominoes of Ezekiel 38-39 begin to fall.

Nonetheless, that remains to be seen, and is subject for future discussions here. Meanwhile, let’s get back to the matter at hand.

We bid farewell to a President who has been a great friend to Christians and to Israel. God’s Word tells us that those who bless Israel will be blessed (Genesis 12:3). We have truly been granted a season of grace and favor by God. When it comes to blessing Israel, President Donald Trump will go down in history as the greatest American president ever. May our nation continue to bless Israel, and may each one of us be equally committed to bless Israel in every way possible as well.

For those who may not have seen it, here is President Trump’s farewell address from the White House:
