“Maranatha!” So, Why are We Still Here?

As a believer and follower of Jesus Christ, the term “Maranatha” is an absolutely beautiful word, jammed full of meaning and hope! It is the word we use to say, “Come quickly, Lord Jesus!”

With the world spinning more and more out of control, I hear the word more often and I see it plastered all over social media. Believers are ready to go home. Jesus said:

“Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.”

~John 14:1-3

I’m ready for my heavenly home, how about you!?! We also know it is not the appointed time yet. Why? Because we’re still here! But, why the delay? Why doesn’t the Lord just come and pluck us out of the evil that surrounds us?

There is a very specific reason:

Do you know those who would perish if Jesus returned today? Then, get busy! We’re awaiting the last person to acknowledge the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, so let’s spread the word!
