We’re living in crazy times! Never in our lifetimes have we faced a medical crisis that not only infected millions of people around the world, but also shut down most countries of the world. On top of that, Iran continues its quest to establish military presence on Israel’s border. Record-breaking swarms of locusts are invading parts of North Africa and the Middle East. Economies around the world, and particularly in the Middle East, are crumbling. In the US and Israel, the deep state is doing everything it can to advance their globalist agenda while destroying nationalist leaders such as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Donald Trump.
Never has there been a greater need for prayer in our nation. Ironically, Monday of this week, I shared a plea for others to join a prayer effort for our nation, as Daniel prayed for his. The invitation was to “like” or comment to identify who was “in” on the prayer effort. I know some are praying, but I wonder if that lack of acknowledgment is an indication that we are just “too busy” to pray, or to join with others. God’s Word says that where two or more are gathered in agreement in His name, He will be in their midst. (Matthew 18:19-20) How thankful I am there are two of us!
Friends, the point is not to collect clicks on a webpage, but prayer warriors in the throne room of God, agreeing together in prayer! I’m fearful we are complacent and becoming more so, in a time we need to be found faithful being about the Father’s business. Prayer is part of that business.
Today is the first Wednesday of the month, the day set aside for the global Isaiah 62 Prayer Initiative. Believers around the world unite in prayer for Israel on this day. You will find an Isaiah 62 prayer guide here.
Other prayer alternatives:
- Follow the suggestions in Monday’s post.
- Use the Presidential Prayer Team’s prayer guide.
- Check out the resources and/or participate in the National Day of Prayer on Thursday.
Whatever guide you use, or even if you use no guide at all, please be intentional in setting aside a time of prayer. Our nation needs it, our world needs it, and as Christians, it is our privilege to enter the throne room of God to petition for His grace and mercy.
Meet you in the throne room!
