Juniper Cobra, the biannual air defense drill involving thousands of American and Israeli troops, as well Eagle Genesis, a ground defense exercise between the two allies, have both been cancelled due to threats of coronavirus.

American troops were set to arrived from US bases in Germany. However, several European nations, including Germany, have been added by Israel’s Health Ministry to the list of those banned from entering Israel.

Praise God for Israel’s diligence in protecting her citizens. Continue to pray for great wisdom of world leaders to take appropriate steps to contain the virus, while not creating undue hysteria.

The threat is real (particularly to the elderly or those with other health issues), so please take precautions such as frequent hand washing, avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth, consider increasing vitamin C intake, avoid large crowds and use wisdom. On the other hand, stay calm! Though the virus is getting huge news coverage right now (some of it for political reasons), most of us are not in great danger.
