Christmas in Egypt

Exciting things are happening in Egypt! Check this out…then come back tomorrow for an absolutely incredible report out of Egypt!

Recently, a delegation of Christian leaders, hosted by Joel Rosenberg, enjoyed a Christmas celebration in Cairo Egypt, along with 2,000 Egyptian Protestants.

About 15% of Egyptians are Christians, with the majority being Coptic Orthodox. Different from Protestant, one might see some seemingly strange Christmas traditions among Coptics. However, Protestant gatherings would be somewhat familiar to most of us.

Here are a few pictures (originally posted by Joel Rosenberg) of the celebration at Kasr El Doubara Church in Cairo. Praise God for brothers and sisters in Christ around the world, including in the Arab world. May many more come to faith in the One True God!

In that day Israel will be the third party with Egypt and Assyria, a blessing in the midst of the earth,  whom the Lord of hosts has blessed, saying, “Blessed is Egypt My people, and Assyria the work of My hands, and Israel My inheritance.”

~Isaiah 19:24-25
