Happy New Year in September? Yes! In Israel and around the world, Jews are celebrating the civil new year (beginning at sundown tonight), the day Hebrew tradition says the world was created 5779 years ago! They call it Rosh HaShanah, and you will hear greetings of “Shana Tovah” (We wish you a happy and sweet year!)
