A Thankful Jew’s Perspective of Pence’s Visit to the Middle East

The Jewish News Syndicate published an interesting article by American Jew, Abraham Miller.  In it, he advocates for a “special blessing” by Jewish minyanim (congregations) upon Vice President Mike Pence for his acknowledgement of Jerusalem’s Jewishness during his speech to the Knesset earlier this week.

In addition to praise of Pence, the article also provides a glimpse into liberal American Jews who “sit as acolytes at the feet of sharia-endorsing and Zionist-hating Linda Sarsour.”  There is a significant group of American Jews who, it seems to me, are so “Americanized” they have forsaken the importance of their homeland and its position in the Middle East.  More importantly, God’s plan for the Jewish people and their land seems to be totally put aside by the left-leaning Jewish population in our country.

I believe it is vitally important that Christians stand strong on the right side of the Israel issue.  After all, Genesis 12:3 lays out the equation very clearly: those who bless Israel will be blessed, those who curse Israel will be cursed.  So, as Jews talk about Jewish congregations pronouncing a blessing upon VP Pence, we Christians need to speak blessings upon Israel and the Jewish people as well!
