If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, do you remember when you came to know Him? Was it at a time when all was well in your world…or when things were in a bit of disarray? Some surrender to Jesus in good times, but I venture to guess that a majority of us came into relationship with Jesus at a time in life that wasn’t so bright.
Well, war has certainly taken its toll in the Middle East. ISIS rampaged through Iraq and much of Syria, and the Syrian civil war has been devastating. These are not trivial things, and as Christians, we must pray for those in the midst of the chaos and so dramatically impacted by it.
But there is a silver lining. Just as many of us came to meet our Savior during times of crisis, chaos in the Middle East has driven many Muslims to seek out the One true God…and He has made Himself known! War-weary, they are seeing dreams and visions of the Messiah who is offering them hope. After all, He is our Living Hope (1 Peter 1).
Check out this story of a Muslim couple who met Jesus.
Will you join me in making 2018 a year of special prayer for Muslim people in the Middle East? Jesus is for EVERYONE, and we must be faithful to pray for those for whom our Savior died.
