Hi friends! I want to alert you to the debut of Joel Rosenberg’s latest geopolitical thriller, Without Warning. Ok, I admit…I’m an “anything Joel Rosenberg” junkie! If he has written it, I have probably read it! But, let me explain why I read his stuff.
First, Joel Rosenberg is “plugged in” when it comes to having inside scoop on geopolitical issues of Israel and the Middle East. He was once a political advisor for Benjamin Netanyahu, as well as US presidential candidate, Steve Forbes, at one time. He is on a first name basis with Congressmen, FBI Directors, and US military leaders, as well as high-ranking governmental and military leaders in Israel and the Middle East.
Secondly, he is a NY Times best-selling author. I pick up his books and can’t put them down! When a new one comes out, I often read it in one sitting…so I have to be very careful about when I start! His characters are intriguing and well-developed, and twists and turns keep the reader from knowing what’s coming next.
Thirdly, Rosenberg and his family now live in Israel, after making aliya a few years ago. (His father is Jewish.) Thus, he has duel citizenship, giving him even more focused insight into the culture of both America and Israel.
Fourthly, he’s not simply about writing books and making money. The Rosenbergs founded The Joshua Fund, which is near and dear to my heart. TJF ministers in Israel and Muslim nations with the goal of “blessing Israel and her neighbors in the name of Jesus Christ, according to Genesis 12:3.” They provide for the needs of Jews and Arabs alike, while also training and equipping native pastors and ministry leaders to share the love of Jesus. (Learn more about The Joshua Fund here.)
But most importantly, as a Messianic Jew, he delivers a powerful message that is always interwoven into the plot of his novels. I have never read one that didn’t clearly present the Gospel message, while at the same time keeping you on the edge of your seat!
So, I highly recommend his soon-to-be-released (March 14), Without Warning., which surmises what ISIS might actually do if they got their hands on weapons of mass destruction. It is the third of a trilogy, though you don’t have to have read the first two for this one to make sense. You can preview chapter 1, read more about the book (and pre-order it if you’d like), or enjoy the 30-second trailer:
