“As for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord by ceasing to pray for you [nation’s ruler].”
~1 Samuel 12:23
On this beautiful Lord’s Day, I want to share an article by Franklin Graham that resonates deeply with me. In it, he urges us as Christians not to drift back into our routines of life following unprecedented prayer efforts during the election season. I totally agree with him, and strongly believe two things:
- Hope in Christ is the ONLY hope for our country, and repentance is the pathway that leads to that hope. As Christians, we must not cease to pray for our nation and our leaders. God has not called political leaders to lead us back toward righteousness …He has called you and me (and believers everywhere) to do that.
- We are living in the last days, and God may well be granting us one last opportunity to bring about revival in our churches and in our land. We would do well to make the most of it.
Please take 2 minutes to read Franklin Graham: Pray for our New President, then heed his exhortation! Let’s be found faithful!
