As we approach International Holocaust Remembrance Day (January 27), I want to share a human interest story with you. Recently the Gerontology Research Group contacted a grandson of 112-year-old Yisrael Kristal, a Holocaust survivor. This followed the death of a 112-year-old Japanese man, thought to be the oldest living person until his death.
Thus, it is believed that, perhaps, Yisrael is now the world’s oldest person. His story is a fascinating one, and I hope you’ll take a couple minutes to read about him in The Jerusalem Post.
In honor of International Holocaust Remembrance Day, I will be sharing about The Holocaust and Antisemitism at Calvary Community Church (Northwest Campus) tomorrow at 9:00am. Class will be held in the prayer room. If you are in the Phoenix area, please come join us for a time of study and prayer. Click here for directions.
If you are not able to join us, stay tuned. When possible, I will provide a summary of the presentation. Meanwhile, take a moment right now to remember the 6 million Jews murdered in the Holocaust, pray for survivors and their families, and ask the Lord to squash the prevailing thoughts and attitudes of today that mirror those that led up to the Holocaust.
