Decision America Tour: First Stop – Iowa

Hi friends!

Today, Franklin Graham launches what I believe is one of the most important prayer initiatives in our lifetime.  It is called “Decision America Tour 2016,” and includes a stop at every state capital in America prior to this year’s presidential election.

Our nation is becoming a ship without a rudder.  We are in trouble and the only answer lies in Christians rising up, calling on our Savior in repentance, and turning to Him in submission.  These are perhaps the most important elections in our lifetime and, while Washington cannot save us, ill-chosen leaders can certainly send us spiraling uncontrollably into an abyss.  We need a Josiah…a leader who will rise up to lead our country in repentance, reset our moral compass, and guide us in righteousness.

Franklin Graham is leading the charge and I’m jumping on board.  Visit the Decision America Tour 2016 website to get in on the action.  You will find a schedule of when Franklin will be in your state.  Also, if you sign up to pray, the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association will send you a handy prayer journal.  (It’s free.)

As part of the effort, I will provide prayer information for each stop of the tour and encourage us all to join in prayer.  I hope you’ll jump on board too!

Rise up Christians!

Tuesday, January 5, 2016: Iowa

  • 11% of pregnancies in 2011 ended in abortion.
  • Millennials account for only 4% of the state’s practicing Christians.
  • Only 9% of Iowans report having attended Sunday school in the past week, just half the national average.

“Heavenly Father and Creator of life, every life is important to You.  Please end the senseless killing of innocent, unborn babies in Iowa.  Bring Life to the state.  Lord, draw young people to You.  Somehow, redeem the time that has been lost chasing gods and material pleasures.  Bring the relevance of Jesus’ life, death, burial, and resurrection back to churches so that Iowans return to Christ-centered living.  Blessed Lord, grant mercy and grace, and may Iowans choose wisely in the upcoming caucus.”
