I am greatly humbled and honored to be invited to attend the Yad Vashem Christian Leadership Seminar in Jerusalem November 28 – December 7, 2015. Yad Vashem is best known as the holocaust museum in Jerusalem, but it is actually far more than that.
Situated on 45 acres on the Mount of Remembrance, Yad Vashem is a world-class research, documentation, education and commemoration center, preserving history and teaching the world about the atrocities of the holocaust. It’s unique design and structure is for the intentional purpose of educating every visitor about the truth of that horrendous act, and preserving remembrance of the 6 million Jews murdered during the holocaust.
Hosted by Christian Friends of Yad Vashem and the International School for Holocaust Studies, the seminar raises awareness, educates, and prepares ministry leaders to build bridges between Christians and Jews. I am honored to be among a very few selected to attend. As time permits, I will blog from Israel, and I invite you to follow along!
Meanwhile, please take 10 minutes to learn more about the holocaust, and this fabulous place that serves to remember those who lost their lives, and educate the rest of us about how and why it happened…and how to be faithful to the pledge, “Never again!”
Enjoy!
