In his most recent atrocious statement, US President Barack Obama declared on Friday morning that ISIS has been contained and is not growing stronger.  Listen to Obama’s comments yourself:

By the end of that very day, Paris was attacked at multiple sites by multiple terrorists…and ISIS has claimed responsibility for the terrorist acts in the French capital.

To my knowledge, authorities have not verified that ISIS was indeed behind the terrorist attacks.  However, our president seems to be critically blind or ridiculously naive to the fact that terror is either on the doorstep, or is beating down the doors of our allies.  Yet, he refuses to call terrorism “terrorism,” and he refuses to acknowledge that radical Islam is behind these terrorist activities.

This comes on the heals of suicide bombings in Beirut Lebanon on Thursday (for which ISIS claims responsibility), and claims by ISIS that it shot down the Russian airliner over Egypt a few days ago.  Yet, we are supposed to believe that ISIS is contained and is not growing stronger.

Friends, I am burdened for our country.  Yes, we most definitely need new leadership.  But more importantly, I believe Christians must be about the Lord’s business in these perilous times.  Are we doing what He calls us to do?  Are we praying faithfully for our nation and our leaders?  (2 Chronicles 7:14, 1 Timothy 2:1-2)  Are we on our knees in battle against the forces of darkness and evil?  (Ephesians 6:10-17)  Are we living lives worthy of His calling?  (Ephesians 4:1-3, 2 Thessalonians 1:11-12)

Jesus is coming soon and we must be ready.  No one knows the day or the hour (Matthew 24:36-39, Matthew 25:13, Mark 13:32), but Jesus warns us to understand the season in which we live.  Our God is bigger than any evil on this earth, but He calls us to stand squarely in the midst of His instructions to us.  Let’s follow His command!
