According to the Jerusalem Post, the International Criminal Court (ICC) is about to begin a preliminary investigation into potential war crimes committed during last summer’s Israeli-Palestinian conflict in the Gaza Strip.  The investigation could lead to possible war crimes on the part of Israeli or Palestinian individuals.  Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas recently signed documentation for “Palestine” to join the ICC, despite the fact they are not a state (which is a requirement for ICC membership).

To make this move even more absurd, Palestinians in Gaza were the aggressors, used human shields to protect their rockets, built dozens of tunnels into Israel in order to infiltrate for terrorist purposes, and abandoned truce talks consistently during the conflict.  Despite that, they accuse Israel of war crimes.

Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu said:

“It is absolutely scandalous that just days after terrorists butchered Jews in France, the general prosecutor is beginning an inquiry against the state of the Jews, and this only because we defend our citizens from Hamas, a terrorist organization that is allied with the Palestinian Authority.  Hamas war criminals fired thousands of rockets at Israeli citizens. Unfortunately, [this probe] renders [the ICC] part of the problem, and not part of the solution.”

But the Lord God of Israel stands in defense of her!

“Do not fear, for I am with you;
Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you, surely I will help you,
Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.
Behold, all those who are angered at you will be shamed and dishonored;
Those who contend with you will be as nothing and will perish.

For I am the Lord your God, who upholds your right hand,
Who says to you, ‘Do not fear, I will help you.’”
