With excitement, I’m looking forward to next week’s “Shake it Up” Prayer Event!  I know the Lord is up to something, and I want to be a part of it, don’t you?

Events in the world are growing more and more chaotic, and are aligning with Biblical prophecy.  Though I’m especially conscious of the backslidden state of the US, I know all of creation is groaning with pains like childbirth (Romans 8:22).  Within the past couple days:

• Another American was beheaded by ISIS
• Iran’s Ayatollah Khamenei calls for elimination of Israel
• Meanwhile, the US continues to cozy up to Iran
• Yet another Israeli was stabbed in a terrorist attack in Jerusalem

I could go on, but you get the message!  The point here is that we are living in a season known as the last days.  (Luke 21:29:32)  Occasionally in Scripture we find that the Lord “shakes” the heavens, the earth and specific lands.  For example, in Haggai 2:6-7, the Lord of Hosts says:

“Once more in a little while, I am going to shake the heavens and the earth, the sea also and the dry land.  I will shake all the nations…”

Our great God can “shake” at will, and He will one day shake all the nations in judgment!  However, He also shook things up in the book of Acts!  Chapter after chapter describes how the early believers were devoted to prayer, and how God “shook” things up in a fantastic way.  For example:

• The Holy Spirit fell upon new believers in Acts 2 and again in Acts 4 when they gathered together for prayer in one accord.
• Peter was miraculously freed from prison when believers devoted themselves to praying for him (Acts 12).

You see, the Lord is in the business of “shaking things up!”  It’s just a matter of how He chooses to “shake.”  Therefore, I’m inviting prayer warrior all over the world to join together for the “Shake it Up” Prayer Event, where we will petition the Lord to shake the heavens and earth with His glory!  Our prayer time will focus on:

• Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem
• Prayer for Persecuted Believers
• Prayer for a Third Great Awakening in our Nation that Impacts the World

Stay tuned.  Our preparation will begin in earnest on Monday (November 24, 2014), culminating in a day of prayer the day after Thanksgiving.  Join us…and invite others.  Let’s spark the Great Awakening that is desperately needed!
