The Truth Behind the Tunnels

In my last post, I re-blogged video clips that included IDF video of the destruction of Hamas terror tunnels (among other IDF operations in Gaza).  By now we know that terror tunnels, allowing Hamas operatives into Israel to conduct terrorist acts, were built with cement from Israel.

According to IDF information, each tunnel cost about $3 million, and the IDF found and destroyed over 30 tunnels.  Thus, rather than putting ~$100 million to work building homes, mosques, schools, medical clinics, office buildings, shopping centers or other buildings to advance the quality of life for the citizens of Gaza, they “invested” in tunnels in order to commit terrorist activity against the very country who provided the cement and building materials.

Yet now, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas plans to address the UN Security Council next month in an effort to join the International Criminal Court and accuse Israel of war crimes.  Ironically, Hamas has wrestled control of the Gaza Strip from the Palestinian Authority, thus Abbas is really no leader in the Gaza Strip.  As recently as July 10, 2014, Abbas condemned rocket attacks from Gaza into Israel.  Seems as though Abbas is speaking out of both sides of the mouth, though in the end, will always point the finger at Israel.

As we creep closer and closer to the last days, we must have clear vision and discernment between righteousness and evil.  Let’s heed the prophet Isaiah’s warning:

Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;

Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness;

Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!

~Isaiah 5:20
