Americans, ISIS is sending a message, and we must not sleep through it.  The message is this:  “We are in your cities.”  Recent pictures (such as those above) and tweets are becoming commonplace, and ISIS is using social media to garner support and spread fear worldwide.  Translated, the note above reads: “Soldiers of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria will pass from here soon,” followed by a verse from the Qur’an.  A note accompanying the picture on the right (an ISIS flag being held in front of the White House) says: “A message from ISIS to U.S. – We are in your state. We are in your cities. We are in your streets.” Make no mistake: their ultimate target is the United States.

According to Joel Rosenberg, “We are beginning to reap the harvest of the President’s policy of retreat, weakness, vacillation & golf. Radical Islam is on the move.”  I could not agree more.  ISIS and other terrorist organizations have been emboldened by US weakness and vacillation.  Not only is ISIS bold and brash enough to flaunt their evil right in front of the white house, but here are other facts about current ISIS activity:

• American journalist, James Foley, was beheaded in Syria after being held captive to ISIS for two-years.
• In Iraq, thousands of Christians are being beheaded and crucified, whole families are being buried alive, and children are being tortured by ISIS.
• Supporters of ISIS are making their presence known all over the US.  Here is a picture from the chaos in Ferguson, MO.  Notice the large banner in the background:
  
• Increasingly, US intelligence sees ISIS preparing to strike the US.  Take note of these comments and headlines:
  • “ISIS today represents a direct and growing threat to the United States,” reports National Journal.
  • Headline in the Washington Times: “Americans brace for new wave of Islamic State terror.”
  • “They are an imminent threat to every interest we have, whether it’s in Iraq or anywhere else,” Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel told reporters at the Pentagon,”reports Reuters.
  • According to CharismaNews: “It’s a frightening reality: Americans now live in a country that could be facing a terrorist threat worse than al-Qaida: the Islamic State.”

Friends, I previously shared my belief that America will cease to be a world power in the last days, and I believe it more strongly every day.  Here are reasons why:

• God’s discipline.  As our country spirals downward morally and walks further and further away from Biblical principles, we must expect that God’s hand of blessing will ultimately be removed.
• Military strike.  America’s military has been drawn down by alarming rates, and our forces are currently worn by continual deployments.  In addition, EMP weaponry is real and could rather easily be used against us.  (As we see, terrorist attacks from within are very likely as well.)
• Financial collapse.  As a nation, we’re trillions in debt to rather unfriendly debtors.  Should China or other “unfriendlies” decide to call in the debt we owe, we could not do it.  America could easily collapse financially.
• Failure to bless Israel.  Scripture is clear…those who bless Israel will be blessed, those who curse Israel will be cursed.  (Genesis 12:3).  Though many Christians stand strong with Israel, our government is on a slippery slope, turning its back on Israel in order to appease her enemies.
• Rapture!  Yes, Jesus is coming to “meet us in the air!”  As a believer, I need not worry about the wrath to come.  One day soon, we will be “snatched away” to meet Him in the air.  But when that occurs, this nation will be void of believers.  Who will fill leadership positions?  Who will pay the mortgages that are left?  Who will buy the overstock of products?  What happens when all vestiges of morality are gone?
