Israeli Prime MInister Benjamin Netanyahu is calling on the international community to pressure the Palestinian Authority to end the unity government they just formed with Hamas.

According to Israeli news sources, the prime minister stated that, “Over the weekend Hamas leaders again declared their intention to destroy the State of Israel.  Those who thought that the Palestinian unity between Hamas and Fatah would moderate Hamas were mistaken.  Instead of the Palestinian Authority taking control of Gaza, there are increasing signs that the exact opposite is taking place: that Hamas is increasing its control inside the Palestinian Authority in Judea and Samaria….Therefore, international pressure must be applied on Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to dissolve the partnership with Hamas.”  (See Amir Tsarfati’s app, Behold Israel [Apple or Android], or Hamas Will Increase its Control over Judea and Samaria)

So, while Israeli President Shimon Peres and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas have reportedly attended a specially called prayer meeting at the Vatican within the past 24 hours, new PA partner, Hamas, is reportedly continuing to threaten the destruction of Israel.  Friends, prayer has never been more important!  Please pray for the peace of Jerusalem!  (Psalm 122)
