Years before I was born, ranchers in nearby Roswell NM found debris that launched a conspiracy theory alleging the US military recovery of an extraterrestrial spaceship. That put my southeastern NM childhood stomping grounds on the map and stirred lots of interest in aliens and UFOs. As theories evolved and more and more “sightings” were reported, large extraterrestrial events began popping up and UFOs became “a thing.”

Today, UFOs are headline news across America! It has risen to such major interest that the US government just released classified reports and information about UFOs. Well respected military pilots, as well as commercial airline pilots, have filed firsthand reports of sightings in the sky and in the sea, and common citizens allege sightings constantly. It has grown beyond “a thing,” to the subject of Congressional hearings.

But, what’s up with UFOs? Are they real? Are they demonic? Is there more behind the phenomenon than meets the eye? The answer seems to be “yes” to those questions.

Are UFOs Real?

So are those pilots and citizens just seeing things or are UFOs real? With the vast number of sworn testimonies, it is difficult to deny they have seen something. However, UFO means “unidentified flying object,” and yes, we have all seen unidentifiable things. Some, such as weather balloons or instruments, may be known to some, but unidentifiable to others. Secret military equipment would certainly be unidentifiable to most of us. “UFO” doesn’t necessarily mean extraterrestrial, but most would admit to seeing indescribable things not of this world. Yes, unidentifiable things have been seen and UFOs are real. “What are they?” is an entirely different question.

Are UFOs Demonic?

Biblically speaking, we know God created all things, whether visible or invisible, including principalities and powers (Colossians 1:16). There are angelic and demonic beings created by and under the ultimate authority of the Creator. Angels are messengers of God and do not come to confuse, yet demons serve Satan, so fear, deception, and conspiracy are common tools in their arsenal.

Consider the UFO/extraterrestrial culture. Is it filled with edification and honor toward God (angelic), or does that culture cultivate fear, deception, and conspiracy (demonic)? Sometimes, things happening in the atmosphere and at sea are unidentifiable, unexplainable, and other worldly. Could those be demonic manifestations?

End times are characterized by deception and fear, but those things are not of God. Thus, we can expect Satan and his cohorts to use UFOs as the explanation for the rapture one day soon. It would be a perfect deception, and Satan has a pocket full of them!

Is There More than Meets the Eye When it Comes to UFOs?

Increased interest in UFOs guides us down a slippery slope. Not surprisingly, a large percentage of those obsessed with UFOs are also heavily involved in the occult. As an example of evidence for that claim, we see egg-shaped alien heads and other extraterrestrial icons used in occultic activity. The tie between UFO fanatics and the occult is fertile ground for Satan’s activity, so UFOs, aliens, and extraterrestrials will almost certainly play a greater part in deceiving people during the last days.
