Hi friends! We’re in the midst of a series dealing with deception and strong delusion, so I want to pile on today! As America and Iran flirt with a peace deal, two things come to mind:

1. God’s Word is far more accurate than either the mainstream media or even right-wing, conservative media. Turn to God’s Word, not to what you hear on the news.
2. The chances of lasting peace with Iran is almost nil. Why? Because the next big war is likely the one described in Ezekiel 38-39. Iran is a key player, along with Russia and Turkey (with some north African nations joining the group) who will invade Israel from the north. Ezekiel describes a sweeping attack that Israel will not be able to handle on their own. Furthermore, no other country (including the US) will stand with them. Instead, God Himself will move on Israel’s behalf and defeat that coalition. However, in order for it to happen, Iran must play a key role! They are not going anywhere, and as stated often, spiritual issues cannot be resolved via geopolitical negotiation.

We must be sober minded in what the Bible calls the last days. Ephesians 4:14 exhorts: we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting. There are all sorts of tall tales spun by the media, and there is plenty of false doctrine being taught today! We need voices of reason and Victor Davis Hanson brought clarity to the Iran situation in this commentary. I hope you will take it to heart!
