Chaos.
It seems to grow worse and worse! Back in 2022 I opened the year talking about chaos. It wasn’t a new thing then, nor is it a new thing now. It just seems to magnify every year. I won’t go into the politics of it all, but as long as half the country hates the other half, there will be chaos.
Moreover, until Christians truly rise up for righteousness and live our lives fully committed to our Lord, the world will not see Him. They will continue doing what they are doing because lost people are driven, not by a moral code (as many once were), but by the spirit of antichrist, which is already among us (1 John 4:3). Indeed, Satan is the father of all lies (John 8:44) and he is the lawless one who is already at work in our world (2 Thessalonians 2:5-12). People will act like who they follow, and we’re seeing it manifest in our own country. (We need revival…and it starts in our hearts!)
But we have a Living Hope, my friends! For those of us living our lives for Jesus, there is a reward, and it is tied to the passage in 2 Thessalonians! (Go ahead and read it…I’ll wait!) The lawless one is currently restrained (believe it or not!) until He who restrains is taken out of the way. That is rapture talk! (Ok…if you still have not read the passage in 2 Thessalonians, you’re missing the meat!)
The restrainer is none other than the Holy Spirit who lives inside each blood-bought, spirit-filled believer in Jesus! When the rapture happens, the restrainer living in us will be removed from this earth.
Oh, you think things are bad now…just wait! When the antichrist is unleashed to wreak havoc on the earth, we will be gone, but our unbelieving friends will be left to face the Tribulation Revelation describes as absolutely decimating. People will beg for death due to the severity of the wrath God will pour out on wickedness.
Our savior will not show up on Air Force One, or in some grand entrance. Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, will snatch us out of here in the twinkling of an eye (1 Corinthians 15:50-58) to meet him in the clouds! We call that the rapture, and Paul describes it in detail in that passage! It is the next thing on the calendar for Christians! We do not know the day or the hour, but friends, Jesus says those who know Him will not be surprised!
Check out Amir Tsarfati’s 4-minute commentary on this very thing. Be blessed my friend….and live as though Jesus is coming today!
