Hi friends! We mentioned the Hanukkah dreidel game previously and some are wondering what it’s about and how it is played. It is a simple game played by children and Jewish families during Hanukkah. In short, it is a game of chance in which kids have the opportunity to make out like bandits on gelt (chocolate wrapped in gold foil to appear as coins). However, it also has a historical component, relative to the miracle God performed on behalf of the Jewish people, and even a twist based on where you play the game!

PS: You can purchase dreidels online or seasonally in stores such as WalMart and Target. Gelt is fun, but the game can also be played with regular coins or even buttons!
