More and more we hear grievances from those who believe the US is sending far too much foreign aid to Israel. Young people, who are turning against Israel in large numbers, argue that they cannot afford to buy homes or raise families. They look at the US deficit and are disheartened and increasingly hostile toward our government for pinning them in a position that leaves them in a worse financial position than previous generations. As a result, aid to Israel is turning many away from Israel.
I agree that our nation’s young adults are in more dire straits than previous generations, and I believe our leadership must right that ship in order to ensure a strong American future. There is plenty of legislative pork to be cut, and it is critical that the US makes immediate headway in balancing the budget.
However, those who espouse cuts in aid to Israel are either ignorant of the reality or are steeped in antisemitism. Few understand the return on investment in aid sent to Israel. Few understand that, without the aid and support to Israel, America would spend far more, yet have far less power and stabilizing influence in the Middle East. Cutting aid to Israel would not enhance America’s financial situation, it would actually harm it!
Here is Amir Tsarfati with the facts:
Friends, never let anyone convince you that standing with Israel is not in America’s best interest! Not only is it quantified in military, intelligence, security and those things mentioned by Amir, but it is also mandated by God Himself! Indeed, America is blessed when we bless Israel.
