Hi friends! On this blessed Lord’s Day, just days removed from the Feast of Trumpets celebrated in Israel this past week, I want to share some interesting information regarding the blowing of the shofar. The shofar is different than trumpets, yet both were used in very specific ways such as calls to repentance, preparation for war, and announcing a coming dignitary. The shofar was certainly used for warnings and guidance, but also for worship.

On this, a day set aside for worship, take time to be still and take in the significance of the shofar and its use. Our friends at One for Israel do a fantastic job of describing it. May you be called to worship as you consider the shofar’s significance!
