Not only is anti-Semitism creeping into the conservative base in America, but blatant anti-Israel rhetoric is being spewed by the British administration. UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer vows to recognize a Palestinian state if Israel does not come to a peace agreement in Gaza by September. Britain’s Foreign Secretary, David Lammy, parrots the PM’s threat, then commits to resume funding to UNRWA “in order to ensure aid reaches the Strip.”
Truth be told, UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees) has proven to be in cahoots with Hamas when it was discovered many of their employees were actually part of Hamas in Gaza and aided and abetted the October 7 attack and kidnapping, as well as attacks on Israeli forces once they entered Gaza.
Talk of recognition of a Palestinian state only fuels Hamas’ resolve not to pursue a peace deal. Now that Great Britain, France and Canada have all staked that claim, Hamas is once again emboldened to hold hostages, continue the fight against Israel, and use mainstream media to win the media war. They could care less how many people they lose, as long as the world’s attention is on them.
The UK, France and Canada have, in essence, given Hamas a lifeline. In light of Starmer’s September deadline, all Hamas needs to do is hold out for another month, continue to reject Israel’s ceasefire offers, and ultimately be recognized by Canada, GB and France as a Palestinian state.
What could be more ridiculous than three of the world’s most respected countries recognizing statehood for a group of thugs calling themselves a Palestinian state. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded thusly:
Starmer rewards the monstrous terror of Hamas and punishes its victims. …A jihadist state on Israel’s border today will threaten Britain tomorrow. …Reconciliation towards jihadist terrorists always fails. It will disappoint you too. It will not happen.
So, what motivates nations such as those three to turn on Israel and threaten to recognize a radical jihadist state in Israel’s backyard? Mass migration.
In 2020, the UK had roughly 2.6 million Muslims. Just 5 years later, that number is up to almost 3.9 million. Both France and England have thrown open the borders to radicalized jihadists and those jihadists have eagerly stepped in to become an intimidating force in taking over the very countries which let them in!
Short of a new American administration, the US would be right on the heels of France and Britain in radicalizing our country. However, President Trump, shortly after meeting with Britain’s PM, came out to boldly state:
I have never discussed with Britain the recognition of the State of Palestine if Israel does not change its actions in Gaza. The US is not in that camp. …You can say you are rewarding Hamas if you do this, and I don’t think Hamas should be rewarded. I’m not in that camp, honestly, because if you are in that camp you are rewarding Hamas, and I don’t intend to do that.”
Praise God for President Trump’s firm stand with Israel. Blessings result as Israel is blessed. However, as Joel 3:2 clearly states, nations will be judged according to how they view and treat Israel. Woe to France and England for standing on the wrong side of the equation and choosing to “punish” Israel by declaring a Palestinian state within Israel’s God-given Promised Land.
Folks, our world is going crazy. What is good is called evil, and evil is called good. World leaders are leading their nations down a slippery slope when they choose to curse Israel. For now, praise God for an American administration who stands with Israel. Yet, we know a time will come when Israel will stand alone. Let us determine as individual Christ-followers that it will not happen on our watch.
Live soberly, righteously and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ! (Titus 2:12-13)
