Joel Rosenberg said it, and I am right there with him: Trump makes me nervous when it comes to negotiations with Iran.
Yes, Trump is an extraordinary “deal maker,” but Iranian leaders are masters at deception and breaking peace deals without suffering consequences. But more worrisome is the double-speak coming from the White House. In one moment, Trump appears to be staunchly resistant to Iran’s continuation of uranium enrichment. The next moment, he puts out a statement that Iran may be part of a consortium that is allowed to continue enriching uranium. Meanwhile, as we speak, Iran has enough enriched uranium for about 10 bombs. That’s dangerous, and presents an existential threat to both Israel and the US, countries the Iranian regime has promised for decades to destroy.
