A Special “Let’s Connect” Episode

Some special “God moments” in life just make me say, “Ahhhh!” A recent episode of Let’s Connect did just that! Let’s Connect is a Behold Israel feature where host, Amir Tsarfati, connects his social media followers with those in the land of Israel who have a story of God’s goodness.

First, having made a stop at the Connect ministry center and studio while on a ministry trip to Israel a few months ago, I so appreciate the openness of that beautiful place God has given to Behold Israel. With full length windows overlooking the gorgeous Jezreel Valley, it is warm and welcoming and sets itself up perfectly as a place to “connect” with the land and the people of Israel.

Secondly, I am so blessed by the Bar David family, one of the first Messianic families to settle in the land prior to Israel’s rebirth as a nation. When I take groups to Israel, part of the preparation is almost always enjoying a videotaped interview with Arie Bar David, the jovial, Spirit-filled patriarch of the Bar David family. Yeshua pours out of him, and the same is true of his children.

Three of those children, Ayelet Ronen, Naomi Ben Yaar, and Sheli Myers sat down with Amir for this interview. Seeing and hearing Sheli talk about her work in Israel was a third thing that aroused an “ahhhh” from me. That’s because I met Sheli last September at an event in the San Diego area, hosted by Joel Rosenberg, founder of The Joshua Fund (TJF). The event was a TJF ministry update in which Rosenberg brought in several people to talk about the ministry happening in Israel since October 7. Sheli and her husband were among those who spoke, and Sheli captivated me with her commitment as a counselor to minister to Israeli families dealing with unbearable trauma.

I was so taken by Sheli’s heart of ministry that it propelled me to rethink my February 2025 Israel tour. That weekend, I pivoted plans to make the February 2025 tour it a ministry trip instead, and it turned out to be the most consequential trip I have ever taken to Israel.

There is a fascinating connection in all this. If you have heard Amir’s testimony, you know he grew up in a difficult situation, yet God had a plan for his life. The Bar David family, particularly these three sisters who he grew up with, were a tremendous influence on Amir. As you know, God miraculously saved him and ultimately called him to found Behold Israel and become a world-renown teacher of the Gospel.

Sitting in that beautiful studio, overlooking the Jezreel Valley, reminiscing about the influence those sisters had on Amir, and the paths God has led each of them to be faithful servants definitely brought me to the moment of “ahhhh” as the light of Jesus shone so brightly in their conversation. I hope you are as blessed as well as you enjoy Amir’s touching interview with Ayelet, Naomi and Sheli.
