Hi friends! I want to challenge you with a sobering idea today.

How many believe there is deception in the world today? The media is dishonest, politicians tell us what they want us to hear, scammers make fake emails look real, and AI leaves us wondering if anything we see or read is real. Deception in the natural world is rampant.

What about in the spiritual world? Does Satan ever lie to you? His lie to Eve is what got us all into this sin mess to begin with! No wonder he is called the father of lies (John 8:44). There are also wolves in sheep’s clothing (false teachers) peddling their own form of “religion,” and the number of false prophets on TV and the internet are too numerous to count!

Is it any wonder the apostle Paul warned Timothy not to be deceived, but to hold fast to the Word of God. Deception is rampant in our world and the only way to combat it is to anchor ourselves firmly to God’s Word.
