In 70 AD, the Romans conquered Israel and Jews were scattered around the world. When World War II began, it is estimated that roughly 10-11 million Jews inhabited the earth. However, 6 million European Jews (1 million of them children) were exterminated during the Holocaust, cutting the worldwide Jewish population by more than half.

Yet, in 2024, amidst threats and wars, the nation of Israel celebrated her 76th birthday and surpassed 10 million in population! Together, with another 8.5 million around the world, the Jewish people are thriving! It was only in recent years that the Jewish population of Israel surpassed that of the rest of the world.

"For I will take you from among the nations,
Gather you out of all countries,
And bring you into your own land.
Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean;
I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols.

I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.
I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.

As we roll into 2025, I am reminded of God’s faithfulness to His people. The population milestone of 10 million Jews dwelling in the land of Israel is strong evidence that the God of Israel is a wonder-working God who will always fulfill His promises!

Our Lord God has wonderful plans for the nation of Israel, and He has wonderful plans for you! Just as He promises to put a new spirit within His people, He will put a new spirit within you as well. If you don’t know Jesus personally, it is time to know Him! If you do know Him as Lord and Savior, I pray His spirit in you will abound in the new year ahead!
