Two days ago I announced our solidarity trip to Israel in February 2025. Originally planned as a regular tour to Israel, plans have changed due to difficulties in getting large group flights into Israel and looming deadlines we could no longer meet. However, opportunities to roll up our sleeves to serve the people of Israel abound and we are pivoting from a regular tour to a solidarity trip in which we will do just that!

Saturday’s post provides information about the trip, but today I will answer the question, “Why?” What drives me to go to Israel since Hamas terrorists ravaged Israeli villages and Hezbollah attacked from the north? It is really quite simple: the Lord commands us to bless Israel and the best way I know to do that is to go there to participate in various projects that help and encourage the people. Hamas is no longer strong enough to launch attacks from Gaza, and Hezbollah has been driven from Israel’s northern border and their ranks have been decimated. It’s time to go and be the hands and feet of Jesus.

Our regular tours are coordinated through One for Israel, so I know the ministry well. Recently, OFI founder, Erez Soref, produced a video that helps clarify why I’m determined to go to Israel.
