What’s Coming for Iran, and Could There be a Secret Weapon in Play?

What should Americans expect in the Middle East now that
Donald Trump has been re-elected President of the United States?

Lots of conservative, Bible-believing, Israel-loving people are asking that question, as are some not-so-conservative mainstream media personalities. The promises to end war and resume building upon the Abraham Accords is a hot topic for those interested in things related to foreign policy in Israel and the Middle East.

Some, including myself, are hopeful the new administration will remove the shackles from Israel and allow them to do what they need to do to finish off Hamas and Hezbollah, then go after Iran, the “head of the octopus.” While it may be worthy ambition for the US to remove the pressure placed on Israel and provide them what they need to destroy their enemies, it is also wise that we not get too far over our skis!

Sure, God could give Israel incredible success and victory over Iran and its terror proxies, but let’s not lose the big picture. What is God’s ultimate desire throughout the Middle East and the world? 2 Peter 3:9 says it beautifully:

The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

Repentance implies salvation and that is God’s ultimate desire! If you were asked where in the world the greatest salvation of souls is taking place today, what would be your answer? Would you be surprised to hear it is Iran? While we look for destruction of enemies and incredible peace plans throughout the Middle East, are we missing God’s secret weapon?

Friends, I am happy to report that, indeed, Iran is experiencing a move of the Holy Spirit that is unmatched anywhere else in the world right now! God has deployed His Secret Weapon (the Holy Spirit) and He is at work in Iran.

To learn more about what is happening there, click the link below for a fantastic article from my friends at One for Israel. It is more lengthy than I usually share, but it provides great insight into what’s happening in Iran. And if the article is just too much for you, scroll all the way to the bottom and watch the conversation between Dr Erez Soref and Dr Seth Postel. Fascinating!

Prayer warriors, may this spur us on to pray, not only for Israel, but for our brothers and sisters in Iran. Ultimately, we know war will come between Israel and Iran (Ezekiel 38), but I don’t think it will be the people of Iran, but rather the regime that joins the attacking coalition. Could there actually be peace between the people of Israel and Iran? Perhaps it is a God-sized dilemma…which means it will take God Himself to bring it about! That’s the God I pray to! Will you join me?

Check back tomorrow because apparently there is someone else who believes peace with the Iranian people is possible! See you then!
