Hi friends! Tensions are high in America as we await perhaps the most consequential election in American history. Yes, we seem to say that before every election, but America is at a distinct turning point and the two presidential candidates could not be more diametrically opposed.

It is incredibly important for Christians to go to the polls and vote your Biblical values. God’s Word commands us to live out our faith in EVERY area of life, including public life, in government, and civic duty. There is absolutely no reason a follower of Christ should not go to the polls to support the candidates and propositions that best represent Biblical values.

But Christian friends, once our civic duty is done, we must be equally committed to entrust the results to our sovereign God. Romans 13:1 is absolutely clear that ALL authority is appointed by God. Salvation will never arrive on Air Force One, nor will it sit behind the Resolute Desk. Our God is sovereign…no matter who sits in the White House. We must fulfill our commitment to vote our values, then trust the results to God.

Here, dear Christian friends, is our hope: Jesus is returning again! This election week, please join me in celebration of that fact! Rejoice!!!
