Even in the midst of war, the appointed feasts of the Lord are commemorated by Jews around the world. For many days, crowds in Israel have flocked to the Western Wall in preparation of hearts and souls for the fall feast season, and to pray for their soldiers as they defend the homeland.
The fall feasts lead Jewish people toward repentance, and one day, salvation. The first of the three fall feasts, Feats of Trumpets (Yom Teruah), has become a secular celebration known as Rosh Hashanah, “the head of the year.” Israelis will celebrate like most of the world does on January 1, but is it really New Year’s day? Certainly not according to Scripture.
The fall feasts are very prophetic to us as believers, as they foreshadow Israel’s repentance, that glorious day when all Israel will be saved, and the Millennial Kingdom that welcomes us all together to the throne of God for worship! But let’s focus on the Feast of Trumpets:
- Does the Feast of Trumpet represent the rapture? (Hint: No…but find out why!)
- What about the red heifers? Should it be a big deal to us as believers? (Hint: No…but find out why!)
- Surely the third temple is something we should focus on, right? (Hint: No…but find out why!)
Those questions and others are answered in this informative teaching by Amir Tsarfati. Pick it up at the 3:00 mark and keep in mind it was recorded in 2022. Rosh HaShanah was on September 26 that year, but begins at sundown tonight this year! Not only is it informative, but also provides nuggets of gold for us as believers! Shana tovah u’metukah! (“Have a good and sweet year!” Celebrate with apples and honey.)
