Some have asked me why I think a growing number of Jews (particularly in Israel) are becoming more interested and inquisitive about Jesus. The obvious answer: the Holy Spirit is moving in the midst of Jewish people and Jesus is making Himself known.

Beyond what is happening in the spiritual realm, Israel is literally at war on many fronts, and Jews around the world are facing Antisemitism in ways far more threatening than since the Holocaust in the 1930’s and 1940’s. Both in war and Antisemitism, Jews are hated simply for being Jews.

Just like the rest of humankind, when backs are to the wall, we become more cognizant of our need for something…or Someone…greater than ourselves. For Jews, it’s not like the Messiah is a new concept, but it is certainly one that is top of mind in an environment where they are threatened in every way.

To be sure, the God of Israel is drawing the people of Israel to Himself and He alone deserves the credit. However, I believe He has strategically placed certain ministries in Israel to be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. (Acts 1:8) Indeed, the name of Jesus was to be made known first in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria, then to the ends of the earth!

One for Israel is one of those ministries being a witness to Jesus Christ in Israel. Check out the summer update of just a short list of things they have accomplished:

• Their Hebrew-language Youtube channel has reached 435,000 subscribers (98% in Israel).
• Their English-language Youtube channel has over 1,080,000 subscribers!
• Over 12,000 Hebrew Bible app downloads since January 1, 2024.
• Religious leaders in the Jewish and Muslim faiths are having conversations with Bible-teaching discipleship coordinators.
• Countless activities and supplies are provided for displaced Israeli families for use in educating their children.
• Bomb shelters have been provided for congregations in northern Israel.
• Work is in progress to expand One for Israel’s headquarters to enable them to have a greater reach.
• Women’s ministries and soldier’s ministries are expanding their outreach and seeing fruit as more women and soldiers are considering Jesus.
• The Bible college (Israel College of the Bible) continues to grow in numbers, course offerings and innovative ways to train pastors and laypeople to share the Gospel in Israel and around the world.

I have seen or heard countless testimonies that cannot be made public due to sensitivities and, at times, dangers to those who are in vulnerable positions but choosing to follow Jesus anyway. They are astounding, and God is stirring hearts in ways we simply cannot imagine.

Please pray for One for Israel. They are at the forefront of ministry in Israel and, because of their boldness, at times find themselves under severe attack. Here are their stated prayer requests:

• Active 7-year long lawsuit against OFI, brought on by a religious leader in Israel and supported by the Anti-Missionary movement (Resurfacing in Appeals Court with depositions)
• Staff on active-duty reserves with IDF (Currently 1 staff member from our Israel team)
• New Israeli Believers
• 2024-2025 Year of our Bible College Students
• Discipleship Team in Israel (More staff to handle influx of inquiries)
• US OFI Office staff, growth and wisdom
• NEW OFI Staff for 2024-2025 Year (US Office, Isarel Office, Bible College)
• Relocation of HQ Project (Currently in Local building committees)
