For well over two months, the news cycle has been dominated by reports from the war in Gaza. So much heartbreak for those who lost loved ones or had them kidnapped. So much antisemitism raising its ugly head around the world. So much prayer for those who have family members serving in the IDF.

Yehiel Leiter is an Israeli father of five sons, all of whom jumped into action to defend their country following the attacks of October 7. Unfortunately, one of the sons was lost in battle. As zealous as the Jewish people are for life, they are equally fearless and committed to their country, even to the point of death.

Tune in at the 20:35 mark of this video to hear the father’s heart of Yehiel Leiter, and to catch a glimpse of the pride Israelis have in defending their country. It is a bittersweet story that blesses the hearts of us who love Israel.
