Terror and Fire Strike Beloved Israel Sites

Friends, this is a plea for prayer and financial support of beloved sites in Israel. Several days ago, riots broke out at a Messianic worship celebration at King of Kings Community (largest Messianic congregation in Israel). Later (and unrelated), a fire broke out in a dumpster outside the building of One for Israel and destroyed portions of the ministry’s building.

To provide some background, I first attended King of Kings Community about a decade ago and fully enjoyed the mix of Hebrew and English worship. The Word is taught and the Lord is worshipped in a beautiful facility. It is one of the largest venues for Messianic events, and they were hosting a large worship celebration when an anti-missionary extremist group began rioting. It took Israeli police in riot gear to gain control of the situation.

The fire at One for Israel hit especially close to home for me, as OFI coordinates our Israel tours. I know some of the staff well and have visited the facility many times. OFI is also home to Israel College of the Bible and, thankfully, they just celebrated the latest graduation a couple weeks ago. The ministry of OFI is far-reaching and very effective.

One for Israel CEO, Erez Soref, produced a special podcast yesterday to describe the difficult week for the Messianic community. You can view or listen to the podcast here:

For those who desire to financially support ministries that have profound impact, One for Israel is a very sound, well-run ministry and this is a critical time for financial support for them as they rebuild what was lost and restore what was damaged. I appeal especially to those who have traveled to Israel with me and had the wonderful opportunity to visit OFI. CLICK HERE for more information and find out how to help them financially.

Above all, please pray for King of Kings Community and for One for Israel as they faithfully share the love of Jesus with the people of Israel.
