Israel Insights: A New Journey

Hi friends! I can’t help myself…learning about Israel is so fascinating and thought provoking that I just can’t help but share it with you! Whether culturally or spiritually, the land of Israel has so much to offer. It is a beautiful land filled with magnificent historical and Biblical sites, but also crammed full of modern-day miracles and nearly unbelievable accomplishments.

Israel was re-born as a nation in 1948…but reborn from what? Exactly what was there before Israel was reborn? A vast wasteland. After the Jewish people were driven from the land after the Roman conquest in 70 AD, it was as if the presence of the Lord left the land as well. When Jews began returning to the land in the late 1800’s it was truly a barren wasteland, filled with sand dunes and harsh wilderness in parts, and disease-infested swampland in others. The pillagers who came and went in between even torched every tree, leaving Israel scarred and ugly.

But throughout history, the Jewish people have been hard-working, innovative, “can do” people! As they returned, in order to survive, they figured out how to make life work in a God-forsaken place.

And they did!

Today, Israel is beautiful, exports hundreds of products around the world, produces fruits and vegetables to make all nations envious, and is a world leader in intelligence, agriculture, medicine, military, technology and so many other things!

So, today I’m launching Israel Insights where I will share some things you may or may not know about Israel. I’m not dead set on format or timing, so perhaps it will be a Saturday theme, or I may slide in interesting tidbits on other days as well. There will be no set agenda, but I will lead with Israel Insights in the title so you know what to expect when you see the heading!

Of course, all this is part of my own preparation for upcoming tours. To lead well, it is important to be well prepared in understanding Israel’s history and what is going on in the land currently. So, come along on my preparation journey, and perhaps even the real journey! The next tour with available seats is February 2024, and guess what! A few early bird seats are there for the taking! Early bird discount ($2,995) applies if you register before July 1. Group discounts are also available. Find out more:

Now, grab a cup of coffee, settle in, and let’s learn something new about Israel! Enjoy!
