Another Huge Prop on the Ezekiel 38 Stage was Set Recently

Friends, something very significant took place Tuesday and, though I may have missed it, little was heard about it in mainstream media. I certainly didn’t hear about the incident from a Biblical perspective. So, here is the scoop through the lens of Scripture:

If you know much about Russia, you know they provide gas via an underwater pipeline to Europe. Because Germany and others have not exactly played nicely in the sandbox, Russia has cut off some of the oil and gas flow to Europe, threatening a very cold, dark winter.

Well, things just got much colder and darker…but perhaps in a different direction. Yesterday, three large underwater explosions occurred and they were discovered to have happened to Nord Stream One and Two…the very pipelines Russia uses to ship oil and gas to Europe. Reports indicate damage significant enough to render the pipelines inoperative. Check out this map of the Baltic Sea, where the explosions took place, and an aerial photo of the bubbling of the sea surface as a result of one of those explosions.

Now the mysteries begin! Think with me from a Biblical perspective as we consider many things: Who did it? Why? What will happen to Europe? What impact will it have on the global economy? What will Putin do next?

As I write, no one knows (or no one is telling!) who did it. Some think Putin himself could have done it in order to cut Europe totally off. I don’t hold that opinion, but I suppose it could be. More importantly, though, who will Putin blame if he didn’t do it?

Will he blame America and her allies, driving world superpowers closer to war? Will he blame Ukraine so he can launch an all-out assault, using unconventional (and possibly nuclear) weapons? Will he blame Israel…simply because that seems to be the thing to do as time winds down?

Will Europe be left in the cold this winter, or will they find another source of oil and gas? Yes, you know where this is going! Israel is sitting on top of unimaginable stores of natural gas out in the Mediterranean, and Hezbollah and others are already trying to get their hands on it. Biblically speaking, what if Israel became the supplier of natural gas to Europe, leaving Russia high and dry, and their economy tilting toward another crash? Might the hook in the jaw (Ezekiel 38:4) – oil and gas – be tugged a bit stronger, urging the Northern Invaders, led by a Russian czar, to plunder and carry away spoil and booty (oil and gas!), JUST AS Ezekiel 38:13 describes? (Just read the entire chapter of Ezekiel 38!)

What will happen to the world economy? Those pipelines are likely spewing natural gas into the Baltic Sea and will probably take a while to contain. That will drive the “greenies” absolutely mad, making them more determined than ever to end the use of fossil fuel. Yet, no one…not even America…is ready to become all electric. It will become a crisis…and the liberal left never lets a good crisis go to waste. Standby for chaos!

Meanwhile, in that scenario, Europe could become totally dependent upon Israeli fuel in order to survive! Israel, in recent years, has become one of the most prosperous nations on earth, and will become even more prosperous…just as Ezekiel 38 says! Israel will be flush with resources and Russia and her partners (Iran, Turkey, and others) will want it.

Now, let’s take two diversions: one to Europe and one to the Middle East.

Just announced in Saudi Arabia: the contemporary Crown Prince, Mohammad bin Salman (MBS), who has been “King-in-waiting,” just entered his time of training to become king of the Saudi Kingdom. If not for his very traditional father (the king), Saudi Arabia would almost certainly have been part of the Abraham Accords. Relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia have never been better, thanks to MBS.

As if on cue, that aligns perfectly with Ezekiel 38:13, which tells us Sheba and Dedan (the modern-day Saudi peninsula) will not oppose Israel, but will stand back and perhaps condemn the invasion from the north. Never before has Saudi Arabia had such a relationship with Israel!

The second diversion has to do with Europe. Have you heard…there are a number of countries now intending to follow Great Britain’s lead in exiting from the European Union (EU). Why is that significant? Solid prophesy scholars believe the antichrist will arise from a revived Roman Empire. Over the years, some thought the EU was a precursor to such an empire, knowing that Daniel’s prophesy indicates a 10-nation confederation. If modern boundaries (which are disappearing!) mean anything, then the EU is too big! It has to be down-sized in order to organize as the 10-nation confederation from which the antichrist arises. Interesting that the EU seems to be in collapse at such a Biblically significant time!

Kinda like God knows what He’s talking about!

Dear friends, there is no need for us to fear, but we do need to be aware of what time it is. We are living in the time and season of Christ’s return. No one knows the day or hour, but the season is not only upon us, but is winding down. The playoffs are coming, when Jesus will take us out of the earthly game just before the evil powers and righteous powers go to war. (It’s not a playoff worth making!) Evil will seem to win, but in the end Christ reigns supreme!

Moreover, when the rapture (taking away) happens, the Bible says we will be delivered from the wrath that is to come. (1 Thessalonians 1:10) Paul is talking about the wrath of God that will be poured out upon evil during the Tribulation. We will be safe and sound, enjoying the marriage supper of the Lamb, while hell and beyond breaks loose on earth.

We’re in the season, and the clock is ticking. Friend, the signs are clear. Jesus could tarry a year, 100 years or 1,000 years…or He could return for us at any second. You don’t want to miss that ride! If you have never gotten serious about a relationship with Jesus, now is the time. Do so before the wrath of God (directed at evil) is unleashed.
