America: Still the Greatest Nation on Earth

Lest we forget, as Americans, we still live in the greatest nation on earth. Of course, we have our issues; and of course, we are heartbroken by the path our nation is taking. But if it is so bad, why are millions of people doing everything they can, including risking their lives, to get in?

Let’s be honest. America is not great because we are somehow more valuable or more worthy than the other ~200 nations on planet earth. We are not great because we deserve it. We are great because the hand of the Almighty chose to bless America with Christian roots and Christian heritage. We are great because God was pleased to draw us out of tyranny to set us on the strong foundation of Biblical values. That is the reason we are great.

If you are American, celebrate this day with great joy, but also with tremendous thanksgiving for the grace of God who has sustained us for 246 years. Give praise to the Creator who saw fit to establish our land and give us the great privilege to spread the Gospel around the world. Be eternally grateful that in America, our Declaration of Independence guarantees our unalienable, God-given rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. It is for those rights we stand side-by-side with the Almighty in battle to protect them! Government cannot take away what God has given, and Nikki Haley recently reminded us: “Even on our worst day, we are still blessed to live in America.” Amen to that!!

Enjoy your 4th of July with family and friends, and if you have some time, listen to this incredibly powerful conversation between Charlie Kirk, acclaimed historian Bill Federer and Pastor Rob McCoy as they discuss precisely why America is such an exceptional nation. You will be blessed!
