Thus begins the United States Declaration of Independence. If you have not read it, why not take time this Independence weekend to read and contemplate the very document that declares the direction our founding fathers set forth for America. How far we have drifted, but what a solid foundation remains, if only America will put in the same blood, sweat and tears demonstrated by those who won our freedom from the crown. There is hope for America, but it always comes with a cost.
Today, I heard the most impacting 4th of July message and challenge to believers I have ever heard. My intension here was to summarize it in a neat little package for you, but it simply cannot be summarized. You must hear it for yourself. If allowed, it will light a fire in the heart of every American Christian, and it is an encouraging message we all need to hear in light of the rampant evil we see in our world today.
As you celebrate with family and friends, please take some time to take in this incredible exhortation.
Why does it matter? The Bible says to whom much is given, much is required. God granted us a nation founded on His Word, and we are responsible, as Christians, to guard and fight for the principles given by God.
When Jesus returns, will we be found faithful?
