Along with an administration under stress, the Israeli Knesset functions under pressure as well. After all, politics in Israel is every bit as wild and wacky as America! Both are in need of righteous leadership, so let’s pray to that end.

⁸ Open your mouth for the speechless,
In the cause of all who are appointed to die.
⁹ Open your mouth, judge righteously,
And plead the cause of the poor and needy.

Israel’s Knesset (legislature) is a somewhat wild and colorful institution, which can be good-natured at times and less so at others. Today, pray for the very different parties representing different interests in Israeli society – for peaceful discussions and positive communication. Whether right or left wing, almost all of the Jewish politicians are united in their disapproval of Messianic believers in Israel.

Today, ask God to raise up political leaders who will stand up for the rights of minorities like Messianic Jews and Evangelical Arabs.
