Over 300 US Sailors, including an explosive ordinance disposal dive team, have joined Israeli naval forces off the coast of Eilat, Israel’s port city on the Red Sea. The USS Cole (a guided missile destroyer), USNS Wally Schirra (a dry cargo ship) and many unmanned naval vehicles are deployed as part of the US 5th Fleet, participating in the exercises.

Joint drills began on Sunday and are expected to last 10 days.
