Israeli PM Naftali Bennett on Peacekeeping Mission?

Earlier today, Israel dispatched Prime Minister Naftali Bennett to Moscow for talks with Vladimir Putin. The timing was interesting, as it was still the Jewish Sabbath and Bennett is an Orthodox Jew. Given that, it is clear this was of great significance to Israeli interests.

In a 2+ hour meeting with Putin, it is believed they discussed not only the Ukrainian crisis, but perhaps the pending Iranian nuclear deal as well. Knowing the US is on the verge of closing a horrible agreement with Iran, which will unlock billions of dollars for the Iranian regime to distribute to terrorist proxies all over the region, Israel senses the danger. Might Bennett have negotiated re-opening Syrian airspace for Israeli Air Force missions into Syria without threat of Russian deterrence? Does Isaiah 17:1 come to mind?

They also discussed the dire situation of Jews living in Ukraine. One can only surmise that negotiations regarding allowing Jews to safely migrate to Israel were foremost.

Following the meeting with Putin, it was announced that Russia demands assurances from the US and Europe that the Iran deal, if signed, will not interfere with Russia’s dealings with Iran. In other words, Putin reserves the right to act in coalition with Iran! Does Ezekiel 38 come to mind?

As Bennett then flew to Germany to meet with the German chancellor, he made a call to Ukrainian President Zelenskyy to brief him on the meeting with Putin, and to discuss setting up a field hospital in Lviv. Israel is often one of the first nations to respond to crises with much needed assistance. In the midst of their own concerns, Israelis are reaching out to Ukrainians.

Who would ever have guessed Naftali Bennett would become the diplomatic statesman between world powers? Yet, when we understand our Bibles and know what Israel has at stake in these last days, it makes all the sense in the world.

As you follow what is happening in Europe and the Middle East, be mindful of this: God’s Word does not speak about specific wars between nations, but with how the world’s nations relate to Israel. Everything we see in our world today relates to that fact, because in the end God will gather ALL nations and will judge them according to how they treat Israel!

“For behold, in those days and at that time,
When I bring back the captives of Judah and Jerusalem,
I will also gather all nations,
And bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat;
And I will enter into judgment with them there
On account of My people, My heritage Israel,
Whom they have scattered among the nations;
They have also divided up My land.

~Joel 3:1-2 [Emphasis mine]

Always process world events through the lens of Scripture!

PS: I find the proximity of Putin to Bennett during negotiations very interesting when compared to Putin’s meetings with other world leaders, such as France’s Emmanuel Macron:
