We are Created to Praise the Lord!

No matter where we are, God is worthy of praise, desires our worship. It’s what he created us to do! Psalm 100 urges people everywhere to make a joyful shout to the Lord, singing and entering His courts with praise. Psalm 150 is a song of praise by everyone who has breath, to God in His sanctuary. One of my favorite praise references is Psalm 98, which says (in part):

Oh, sing to the Lord a new song!…
Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth;
Break forth in song, rejoice, and sing praises….
Shout joyfully before the Lord, the King!

~Psalm 98:1, 4, 6

Imagine what heaven will sound like when every person who has breath sings a new song, shouts joyfully, breaks forth in song, rejoices, sings praises before the Lord, the King! The closest global worship experience I’ve encountered is strolling through the Garden Tomb area in Jerusalem where people from countries all over the world are gathered to worship the risen King! At times, one can hear a dozen different languages being sung, and there is no doubt praise is going before our Lord and King!

I don’t believe there is anything on earth to compare to heavenly worship with believers from across the globe, but to some degree, we get glimpses of it in our electronic age. Today I invite you to worship along with our brothers and sisters in South Africa! A sweet South African friend I met in Israel is now “down under” and enjoying a home fellowship of believers who love the Lord. Put away any preconceived ideas about worship and rejoice with these precious believers as they praise God in their own language and in their own way. Then, pray for these brothers and sisters in Christ! We will sing and dance with them in heaven one day!

Is there any doubt these believers love the Lord!?! Happy Sunday!
