Nothing is shocking these days. But the fact that terrorist leaders are standing blatantly in the face of Joe Biden and dictating a US response is becoming greater reality every day.

Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah announced that an oil tanker will soon leave Iran, headed for Lebanon, and warned Israel and the US to allow it to pass. Current US sanctions against Iran prohibit Iran from exporting oil to the region. Despite that, Iran and its terror proxies (including Hezbollah) are emboldened to disregard American sanctions because they fear no retribution.

In a televised address, Nasrallah mocked the US and is intentionally forcing Biden to make a choice: take orders from terrorists, or attempt to stop them from exercising their will against America and her allies. Read more about this situation here:

With an inept administration in Washington and a weak government in Jerusalem, it will be only a matter of hours or days before we know the answer to this dilemma…and there is little hope it will turn out well.

But I have good news for you! Those who trust in Jesus are never without hope!

The hope of those who trust in world leaders, politics, governments or fate soon find themselves hopeless! There is no hope in this world besides Jesus! Notice what the psalmists proclaimed:

⁵ My soul, wait in silence for God alone,
For my hope is from Him.
⁶ He alone is my rock and my salvation,
My refuge; I will not be shaken.
⁷ My salvation and my glory rest on God;
The rock of my strength, my refuge is in God.
⁸ Trust in Him at all times, you people;
Pour out your hearts before Him;
God is a refuge for us.

~Psalm 62:5-8

³ Do not trust in noblemen,
In mortal man, in whom there is no salvation.
⁴ His spirit departs, he returns to the earth;
On that very day his plans perish.
⁵ Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob,
Whose hope is in the Lord his God.

~Psalm 146:3-5

Indeed, there is no salvation in mortal men. Joe Biden can’t save America…and neither could Donald Trump. Why do we put trust in the president or any other man?

Jesus is our Hope, and He is coming again to take us out of this world! It may not happen in the timeframe we want (or think), but at His appointed time, He will come! Salvation has come through our Lord Jesus Christ and we do not have to fear! Rather, we eagerly await His coming!

¹¹ For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people, ¹² instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously, and in a godly manner in the present age, ¹³ looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, ¹⁴ who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, eager for good deeds.
