Hi friends! We know that a strong, principled America stands with Israel and impacts our cities, states and nation for the better. Unfortunately, we are living in a time when America seems to be moving in the exact opposite direction: no strong leadership and no strong principles. But is all lost? Not if we press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:14)
Jesus taught His followers to occupy until He returns. (Luke 19:11-13) Other translations render it, “Do business” until He returns. It seems wise advice for us to heed as well. But, how do we do that? We get involved and we bring Jesus into everything we do! We bring Him into our jobs…we bring Him into our relationships…we bring Him into every day life!
If we believe our leaders are failing us, we need to bring Him into public life by putting God-fearing people into office! Some should run for office. I think of Mike Pence, Mike Pompeo, Nikki Haley and others who boldly bring Jesus into office with them! What motivation and encouragement to us! Most of us are not in position to run for office at the highest level, but what about school boards, county commissions and local races where we could make significant impact?
Some simply need to promote and encourage strong conservative leadership. Perhaps we need to show up at school board meetings to speak out against the atrocities of Critical Race Theory or the LGBT agenda. Perhaps we contact our elected leaders and let them know our position on issues and encourage them to stand for righteousness. There are lots of ways to impact our society!
Tomorrow night in Phoenix we have the opportunity to hear one of America’s most brilliant advocates and activists when it comes to conservative values. Charlie Kirk will host his monthly Freedom Square event at Dream City Church Wednesday night at 6:30. Freedom Square turns out to be evenings of enlightenment of what’s going on in our culture, and encouragement in standing strong for what we believe!
It is a free event, so join me tomorrow night at Freedom Square!
