The Height of Hypocrisy and America’s Response to It

We are spiritually wealthy, aren’t we? But, the world will throw evil our way. Some of it will hit us directly. Just consider the anti-Biblical decisions being made by our nation’s leaders today.

Some of it may not hit us directly, but it shows us the depth of depravity in which we live. Here is one such example:

The hypocrisy that runs rampant in our world seems to manifest itself most vividly in the Middle East, where terrorist do everything in their power to destroy Israel…yet use Israeli resources and generosity for their benefit. In what “reality” is it okay to beat your neighbor with one hand, while holding the other out for favor?

This is simply a vivid contrast between a nation whose heartbeat (and Biblical mandate) is to bless others, regardless of what comes in return, and a people group so hell bent on chaos and destruction that they will take from the very one they wish to destroy.

Hypocrisy at its best…and many American leaders are turning a blind eye toward evil (Iran) and abandoning good (Israel). In fact, the current administration longs to jump back in bed with Iran, knowing it puts our greatest ally in the Middle East in jeopardy of bearing the consequences. It leads me to wander: is America also taking what Israel has to offer, while at the same time, working toward their destruction also? God forbid!

“And I will bless those who bless you [Israel],
And the one who curses you I will curse.
And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed.”

~Genesis 12:3 (Insert mine)

Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a person [or nation] sows, this he will also reap.

~Galatians 6:7 (Insert mine)

“For behold, in those days and at that time,
When I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem,
I will gather all the nations
And bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat.
Then I will enter into judgment with them there
On behalf of My people and My inheritance, Israel.”

~Joel 3:1-2
