Unveiling the City of David

Happy Lord’s Day, my friends! I want to continue providing a virtual look at Israel, in hopes of drawing understanding to the significance of the land and the places to us as believers in Jesus Christ. Coming to grips with our Jewish roots enhances our understanding of what it means to be a Christian.

CBN Israel hosted a webinar recently in which Ze’ev Orenstein joined CBN Israel News anchor, Chris Mitchell, for a virtual tour of the City of David. I met Ze’ev briefly on a private tour of the City of David a few years ago, and have come to appreciate him as a highly knowledgeable and very personable ambassador of one of Israel’s most significant sites.

Today, a trip to Israel is incomplete without an elongated visit to the City of David. It is so named because this is the actual place where King David’s palace stood, prior to the building of the Temple. In fact, this was the original Jerusalem! Over the course of a decade, the City of David has come to life in grand fashion, so I want to share this video with you. If you love Israel, you will be absolutely astounded at what is happening there. If you are just learning about Israel, this is a great place to start! Enjoy the video!

Friends, this is perhaps the most significant archaeological sites in all of Israel, and we will spend a good bit of time there when we visit in October. We have limited seats, but there are still a few available for our fall tour, launching October 2, 2021. Perhaps one of those seats is waiting for you! If you are interested, please visit our 2021 EXPERIENCE ISRAEL TOUR page for all the details. If questions remain, we’re happy to answer them. Just send us an email at Looking4theBlessedHope@gmail.com. Hope to see you in Israel!
