Unmasking False Christs, False Teachers and False Prophets

Welcome back friends! The phrase of the day yesterday was “Get into God’s Word!” It is critical…it is vital…if we are to avoid the traps of deception laid by the enemy. I promised show and tell today, and that’s what we’ll do. But before we go there, let’s take a look at one more passage of Scripture regarding being among wolves in sheep’s clothing.

Turn in your Bible to Matthew 10:16-20.

  • Why should we be wary as serpents and innocent as doves? (What does that mean anyway?)
  • Is Jesus promising an easy path before us as believers? If not, why?
  • According to that passage, what gives us the strength to be bold in the face of ravenous wolves who want to devour us?

Believers, we are going to run into challenges when we hold to the truth, when we speak the truth, and when we share our faith. But even in the midst of that, our Lord promises God the Father, through the Spirit, will speak through us! Wow, what comfort and what joy. We can face challenging times, knowing our King is fighting on our behalf.

With that backdrop of encouragement, let’s unmask false Christs, false teachers and false prophets…those wolves in sheep’s clothing from whom our Father will protect us! We’ll start with a big, “in your face” fulfillment of prophecy regarding false Christs. He needs very little introduction, and his words speak for themselves:

Stopped the EU 🇬🇧 on Twitter: "BILLIONAIRE financier George Soros: 'God of all he surveys' Backing remain activists who want to keep Britain in the European Union. #Brexit… https://t.co/2XnwR0D0IY"

None other than George Soros. Not only does he “fancy himself as some kind of god,” he is comfortable living it out. (I’m wondering how he fared on the “walk on water” test!) He is not the only false Christ to ever come to the forefront, but there are few humans on earth as evil as George Soros. He is firmly behind the push for a New World Order (globalism) and is the financier (along with the Clinton Foundation, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the Ford Foundation and many others) of virtually all major globalist initiatives around the world. (Look for a “Headlines” post this afternoon, where we’ll reveal some very troubling things.)

Not only does the Bible warn us of false Christs (Matthew 24:4-5), but also false teachers…those who may stand in our nations pulpits, but teach contrary to the Word of God. For example, did you know there are “pastors” teaching that abortion is okay? Here is what the Bible says about life:

13 For You created my innermost parts;
You wove me in my mother’s womb.
14 I will give thanks to You, because I am awesomely and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works,
And my soul knows it very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from You
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully formed in the depths of the earth;
16 Your eyes have seen my formless substance;
And in Your book were written
All the days that were ordained for me,
When as yet there was not one of them.

~Psalm 139:13-16

The Bible is filled with passages about life, but if Psalm 139:13-16 was the only place in Scripture where God tells us very specifically how greatly He values life, it would be enough.

Yet, not only does “Pastor” Raphael Warnock, the new GA Senator, support and promote abortion, but the media backs him, and degrades conservatives for calling him out! (Here’s an example.) Despicable! Likewise, “Pastor” Emanuel Clever of St James United Methodist Church (MO) invoked Hindu gods and ended his prayer on the opening day of Congress with “Amen and A-woman.” (2:40 mark of this video.)

Those two are clear and obvious false teachers who have recently stood in the lime light to mock the One who created them. However, many pulpits across America teach Replacement Theology (God has given up on the Jewish people and replaced them with the church), New Apostolic Reformation (God is replacing Scriptural truth with “new apostles” and mysticism), and other unbiblical theology. Major proponents of these movements are Bethel Church (known for inspiring worship music, but false theology), The Rock, and some churches in the Vineyard movement.

Now, regarding false prophets. Many have come and gone, but most recently the internet was absolutely flooded by various “Bible teachers” who had some “new revelation” or had “received a vision from God” that President Trump would serve a second term, even after it was obvious he would not. The 700 Club hosted such prophets, Sid Roth prophesied it, Pat Robertson prophesied it, Trump’s own pastor Paula White prophesied it, Bethel’s Kris Vallotton prophesied it, Jeremiah Jones prophesied it, and several others prophesied it. (See here.) Once proven to be false prophets, one spokesperson said: “They are trying to preserve their relevance and encourage people to not give up. Some will go to their graves trying to convince people the Lord’s plan is in effect.”

The apostle Peter spoke these words concerning prophecy:

20 But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture becomes a matter of someone’s own interpretation, 21 for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.

~2 Peter 1:20-21

Prophecy was given only through men moved by the Holy Spirit spoken from God. Those whose own interpretation gets in the way will always be proven to be false prophets. Run from them!

Fellow sojourners, false Christs, false teachers and false prophets will lead you astray and turn you from your Heavenly Father. The ONLY way to discern truth from slick, well-concocted lies that often sound “spiritual” is to know and understand the truth of God’s Word. False teachers and prophets will abound in the last days, and we haven’t seen anything yet! God’s Word is your anchor!

Whew…heavy stuff! Stay tuned as we continue applying truth to what we see in America, Israel and the church! We’ll be back at it tomorrow. See you then!
